The cooperation structure of the project "Change on Borders" consisted of three themes with three constant related sub-themes:

1. Integrated and environment friendly development of border regions,
with the following sub-themes:

  • Cooperation among regions with similar geographical features
  • Governance in border regions
  • Environment friendly development & water management

2. Development of labour markets in border regions,
with the following sub-themes:

  • Developments of small and medium sized enterprises (SME), research and development (R&D) and innovation in border regions
  • Cross-border labour market development
  • Tourism development in border regions

3. Promotion of socio-cultural integration between border regions
with the following sub-themes:

  • Strengthening of social cohesion in border regions
  • Training, education and cross-border mobility
  • Culture, media & 'people-to-people' activities
