The RFO – Management – Coordination Unit

For the overall project coordination and management, the involved Main Partners have decided to establish the RFO-Coordination Unit in order to ensure a proper implementation of "Change on Borders". The RFO-Coordination Unit was carrying out the project management on behalf of the Lead Partner, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The RFO-Coordination Unit was established within the common INTERREG IIIA-Secretariat at the Euregio Rhein-Waal. In order to guarantee a close coordination with the Lead Partner, this independent Unit was based at the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.

The Coordination Unit took care of the day-to-day management, kept contact with the project partners, supported the sub-projects and worked in close cooperation and coordination with the Financial Manager and the Helpdesk.

Furthermore, the Coordination Unit was responsible for the overall RFO-reporting to the INTERREG IIIC West Joint Technical Secretariat in Lille, the organisation and follow-up of the RFO-Steering Committees and the external presentation of the RFO.
